Categories of Scholarships
Scholarships for the 2022/2023 Academic Year will be available in respect of the following categories. Springdales School reserves the right to update the criteria, requirements or procedure for the award of all or any category of Scholarship at any time.

Academic Excellence
We offer Academic Scholarships to students who have consistently placed at the top of their class in all their subjects for at least the last three years. If they have appeared for any international exams and have placed in the top 95th percentile (Please note you will need to provide evidence of any claims) and have the passion and commitment to continue improving their grades.

Academic Scholarships shall be awarded to candidates on the basis of proven outstanding academic achievement and are subject to the student maintaining a high level of academic achievement.

Academic Scholarships are available to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Creative and Performing Arts
We offer Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships to students who are passionate artistes and performers with grades that place them in the top 70th percentile in their class (Please note you will need to provide evidence of any claims) and have the passion and commitment to continue excelling in your chosen field.

Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships shall be awarded to candidates on the basis of proven excellence in performing arts (including but not limited to, music (instrumental or Vocal), drama, theatre, spoken word, debating, dance etc.) and creative arts (such as visual arts).

Eligible Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships are available to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Sporting Scholarships
We offer Sports Scholarships to committed students who are placed in the top 70th percentile in their class and have consistently played their sport for the last 3-5 years, competing in a) Regional or b) International level tournaments

Sports Scholarships shall be awarded to candidates on the basis of proven athletic ability, potential, determination and enthusiasm and in particular who demonstrate potential to compete at the National or International level.

Sports Scholarships to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Year 7 (Grade 6) and are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Innovation and Digital Technology
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of candidates demonstrating potential to excel in the areas of innovation & digital technology (coding, computational thinking, cryptology, app development).
Eligible for current and prospective students from Grade 6 onwards

Arabic Studies
Arabic Studies Scholarships are offered to students as a part of the Academic Scholarships. These are offered to Native and Non-Native Speakers.
Arabic Studies Scholarships (Native Speaker)

Arabic Studies Scholarships (Native Speaker) are awarded to candidates as a sub-set of Academic Scholarships on the basis of a candidate’s proven outstanding academic achievement in the field of Arabic Studies and are subject to students maintaining a high level of academic achievement.

Arabic Studies Scholarships (Native Speaker) to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Arabic Studies Scholarships (Non-Native Speaker)
Arabic Studies Scholarships (Non-Native Speaker) are awarded to candidates as a sub-set of Academic Scholarships on the basis of a candidate’s proven outstanding academic achievement in the field of Arabic Studies and are subject to the student maintaining a high level of academic achievement.

Arabic Studies Scholarships (Non-Native Speaker) to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and are awarded based on a competitive application process. Only those current or prospective students whose parents or guardians do not hold (and are not entitled to hold) Arab passports.

Inclusion Scholarship
We offer Inclusion Scholarships to students of Determination (SoD) who have been identified through the KHDA approved SoD process.
Eligible Inclusion Scholarships are available to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Chairman’s Scholarship
We offer the Chairman’s Scholarship to a student who has been performing at a high level but has been adversely affected by tragic circumstances that impact the student’s schooling opportunities.

This is a discretionary Scholarship that is available to current and prospective students of Springdales Schools from Grade 6 and is awarded based on a recommendation of the principal.

This means that scholarships are now available throughout middle and secondary school.
