Springdales School Celebrates UAE Year of Sustainability with Creative and Eco-Friendly Initiatives 

In alignment with the UAE Year of Sustainability, Springdales School is proud to announce a series of engaging and environmentally conscious activities aimed at promoting sustainability among students and the community. Our school has always been at the forefront of fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness about the environment, and this year, we are taking our efforts a step further. 

Innovative Art Projects 

To inspire creativity while emphasizing the importance of sustainability, we have introduced various unique art activities: Coffee Painting, One Child One bag Campaign, Paper Mache bowl making. These initiatives not only provide a platform for artistic expression but also highlight the use of eco-friendly materials. 

Coffee Painting: Students are exploring the art of painting using coffee as a medium. This activity encourages the use of natural materials and reduces reliance on synthetic art supplies. The results have been stunning, with students producing beautiful, earthy-toned artworks that showcase their talent and commitment to sustainability. 

One Child One Bag Campaign: In a bid to reduce plastic waste, we have organized a whole school cotton bag painting sessions. Students design and paint their own reusable cotton bags, which they can use for their daily needs. This activity not only promotes the reduction of single-use plastics but also instills a sense of pride in creating and using personalized, sustainable products. 

Paper Mache Bowl Making: This initiative is designed to teach students the value of recycling and reusing materials, while also fostering their artistic skills. In this innovative project, students learnt to make reusable paper mache bowls using waste paper. By repurposing discarded paper, we are not only reducing waste but also promoting the concept of upcycling. These beautifully crafted bowls can serve a variety of purposes, such as unique and personalized chocolate hampers.
