Interactive Workshop on the Basics of Photography

On Tuesday, 21st June 2022, Springdales School, Dubai, proudly hosted an interactive workshop on the "Basics of Photography" for our Able, Gifted, and Talented students. This engaging session aimed to introduce students to the fundamental principles of photography, inspiring their creative expression through this versatile art form. 

Workshop Highlights: 

Dr Noushadali, a Dentist by profession and photographer by Passion, kicked off the workshop with a captivating overview of the history of photography, from its early film origins to the modern digital era. Students gained insight into essential camera settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. The practical demonstrations helped students understand how these settings affect exposure and image quality. 

The workshop covered key composition techniques, including the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing. Students were encouraged to apply these techniques to enhance their photographic storytelling. Dr Noushadali explained the crucial role of lighting in photography, discussing both natural and artificial lighting and their impact on photos. Students engaged in hands-on activities to experiment with various settings and compositions.  

The Able, Gifted, and Talented students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and creativity throughout the workshop. Their active participation and eagerness to learn were evident in the stunning photographs they captured during the hands-on activities.
